Road Report: 900 km. Approximately 60% of the route in Kenya is paved. Northern Kenya is a lava rock desert with terrible rutted roads. Most of the 6 days and 500 km from the Ethiopia border to Isiolo will be some of the toughest cycling on the tour. From Isiolo onwards, Kenya is 90% paved and of that most is reasonable quality pavement.
